Rebecca is the recipient of numerous academic, athletic and leadership awards, including: The President’s Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement, The Award for Outstanding Character, The “Timothy Award”, The “Servants Heart” Award and twice- The Citizenship Award. She has been presented with Cheerleading, Dance and Softball Awards. She is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and served as a 2007 People to People United States Ambassador to Japan. Rebecca will also be featured in the Who’s Who Among Outstanding Students in America.
As a teenager born with Chronic Adult Asthma, she founded “Kid’s Tender Heart”, as a fourth grade student, in 2002. This support program was designed for “kids” with medical issues who needed a voice and who needed to know that regardless of their own personal situation, their life was a gift, and a life to be lived to the fullest. Realizing the importance of giving back to her community, Rebecca has been active with: The American Red Cross, The American Cancer Society, Give Kids The World, Dignity U Wear and the Make a Wish Foundation. Rebecca has spent her Thanksgiving and Christmas Day(s) with the Daytona Beach Neighborhood Watch helping to serve the policemen and women in Daytona Beach, holiday dinners to show her appreciation for their service to her community. In her spare time, she enjoys studying different cultures, learning different languages, singing, dancing, acting and playing a variety of sports.
